Hello!
Though IMDB insists I am best known for the Reels/Viacom rockumentary series When Metal Ruled the 80s, I am in fact primarily a Miami-based writer and editor.
Over the last couple decades I've appeared in Decibel, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, Yankee, Fangoria, Reason, Radar, Magnet, Maxim, Rue Morgue, Stereogum, and The Weekly Standard, among many other fine and middling publications.
As a feature writer I've covered everything from night raids in Baghdad, riots in the Baltics, and chatted with Keanu Reeves while a nearby bridal party spontaneously (and, okay, metaphorically) combusted to freedom fighting strip-pole aerobics instructors in rural Pennsylvania, designer cat shows at Madison Square Garden, and antics at the aging Playboy Mansion.
I have also edited more than twenty novels, comics, and nonfiction books.
You may have seen me in Decibel, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, Yankee, Fangoria, Reason, Radar, Magnet, Maxim, Rue Morgue, Stereogum, or The Weekly Standard, among many other publications.

As a copywriter I've adapted those storytelling skills to a decade of multimedia communications and brand marketing across finance, entertainment, tech, real estate, construction, pharma, and more, from mom n' pops to multinationals n' Fortune 500s.
I also served as the program manager and programmer for Coral Gables Art Cinema's On the Move, which takes the arts to the communities the cinema seeks to serve, bringing celebrated art house films to unorthodox venues for screenings, discussions, and intellectual exchange. The goal: to create synergy and visibility for both the cinema and host organization while bringing an edifying, unique entertainment experience to the community.
Bonus Features: My writing has appeared in college textbooks (Seeing & Writing 3;McGraw Hill's World Politics), I was for years among the music critics surveyed yearly by the Village Voice as part of its Pazz & Jop year in music special edition, and I presented at the 2012 EMP POP Conference held at New York University on underground heavy metal in post-Katrina New Orleans.
